B and V offers one to one expertise at NEC’s Facilities ShowWednesday 13th April 2011

Visitors to this years Facilities Show at Birmingham's NEC are being offered advice and problem solving sessions with some of the country's leading experts on legionella, corrosion control and water treatment.

The free mini surgeries are being provided by B & V, which will be manning its stand with a handful of the PhDs, engineers and microbiologists whose expertise is key to the success of the award winning firm.

One of the largest companies of its kind in the UK, B & V Water Treatment is expanding globally and took an extra £1 million of orders in the first month of 2011 alone. Specialising in all forms of water treatment, from radiators to large industrial cooling towers, B & V has vast experience and an exceptionally high level of technical understanding.

As well as general enquiries, Staff are expecting a deluge of enquiries from visitors wanting to find out how to reduce operating costs, ensure they comply with environmental legislation and improve efficiency.

Simon Ward, MD of B & V, which has won awards for its international business success, explained: "Technical expertise and research and development are some of B & V's core strengths. With an exceptionally high PhD count and an impressive number of others scientific specialists including microbiologists among our staff we offer more in terms of gravitas and technical support than other players in this industry.

"Many of the visitors to the Facilities Show may be unaware of how much energy they're wasting for reasons they haven't even considered. For example, energy bills can be up to 25 % higher if there is just 1mm of scale in their water system. Removing this scale will therefore vastly increase their efficiency and their bottom line while reducing their effect on the environment.

"We hold seminars all over the world for some of our international clients and have seen an incredible response to the sessions we offer overseas. Often people have a query which their own water treatment provider is unable to answer.

"As well as enabling customers to comply with environmental and health legislation, such as the Legionella code of practice L8, we can also drastically reduce operating costs, sometimes by hundreds of thousands of pounds a year."

B & V has customers across the NHS, hotel, leisure, FM, petrochemical, food and drink industries as well as commercial and industrial sectors and has a number of blue chip international customers.

B & V will also be handing out free sports bottles of water filtered by their own on site water filters, at stand G2 in hall 1 at the NEC Facilities Show which runs from May 17 - 19.
