Cooling Water Treatment Chemicals
B & V have develeloped an extensive range of cooling water treatment chemicals to prevent the four major problems associated with a wide variety of cooling systems such as:
The chemicals are suitable for:
The quality cooling water chemicals together with the on-site technical service provided by B & V focus on improving the operational efficiency of commercial and industrial cooling systems as follows: |
The B & V Legionella Logbook System will also enable the operators of cooling towers and evaporative condensers to comply with the HSE requirements to prevent legionnaires disease. The logbook contains the necessary risk assessment, the management methods and also the log sheets that should be adopted to control the risk.

The choice of cooling water chemicals from the range will depend upon the site conditions. If you would like to make a no obligation appointment with one of our qualified water treatment chemists to discuss your application, please email sales@bvwater.co.uk or telephone +44 (0)1327 871967
The B & V range of water treatment chemicals includes scale and corrosion inhibitors, biocides, antifoams, and bio-dispersants as follows:
Scale and Corrosion Inhibitors
BV46 |
An all organic corrosion inhibitor for naturally soft waters
BV226 |
BV48 |
BV50 |
BV52 |
A high molybdate based corrosion inhibitor designed for ion exchange softened waters. Increased corrosion protection is achieved by blending a small amount of hard water into the system. |
BV540 |
A phosphate based product specifically designed for the prevention of 'white rust' or zinc corrosion in galvanised cooling towers. Can be used to passivate new towers |

Cooling water treatment chemicals are ideally dosed automatically via a precise chemical pump that is controlled by equipment that will give the correct amount of chemical for the application. There are several methods of achieving this and two such popular method are to link the pump(s) to a water meter or to equipment that will monitor the chemical conditions in the water so that the dosing is proportional to the evaporation load. The most appropriate and precise method will depend upon the site conditions and your B & V representative can give further advice on this.
The B & V Water Treatment Ltd range of chemicals for inhibiting scale, corrosion and fouling in heating and cooling systems are available for water treatment professionals with their own label and logo on the packaging. The facilities that we offer allow the water treatment professional customer more time to concentrate on water treatment sales and service without the added involvement in manufacturing.
