Brominators
Our range of brominators provide a safe and reliable method of dispensing bromine based tablets into water. These tablets are sometimes referred to as bromine release tablets, organo – halogen tablets or hydantoin tablets. The water flows through the brominator either under the system water pressure or via a booster pump with the rate of dissolving being controlled by adjustment of the flow rate. The hypobromous acid formed by dissolving the tablets can be used for micro-biological control in cooling towers and process waters. Typically, the bromine level required would be 1 to 3 ppm.
The brominator consists of:
- Pressure vessel of vinylester resin designed for use up to 10 bar
- Inlet and outlet pipework
- Regulating valve for flow adjustment
- Screwed construction of components
- Graduated flow metre
- Pressure relief valve
- Isolating ball valves
- Strainer
- Spanner for filling through 4” top fill hole
There are 3 standard sizes for most situations but larger sizes are available:
|
Model BR822 BR1019 BR1035 |
|
Vessel Size (mm) 200 x 560 250 x 480 250 x 890 |
|
Typical Flow Rate (lpm) 10 15 25 |
|
Capacity of Tablets (kgs) 14 20 35 |
Timer and solenoid controllers and redox controllers are available as optional extras for greater control of the bromine level.
For systems that do not have a pressurised flow available, a pump can be installed and the unit skid mounted with all of the above features.
