Ion Exchange
Base exchange is a process in which the calcium, magnesium and ions are removed from the water, and is commonly know as ‘softening’ the water.
B & V Water Treatment can supply, install, repair and maintain a wide range of ion exchange plant and equipment for our customers.
Deionisation by Ion Exchange
Deionisation is the process of removing dissolved salts from water thereby eliminating the multiple problems that can result from such impurities. With deionisation by ion exchange, the quality of water is constantly monitored by a conductivity cell and meter which is present to reject any water that does not meet the required quality, and will also initiate a regeneration sequence when the ion exchange resins are exhausted.
Selective Ion Exchange
Ion exchange using specifically selected resins can be used to remove or reduce specific heavy metals contaminates from water to lower concentration. It is unaffected by other dissolved solids in the feed stream. Selective ion exchange resins are available for a wide range of applications for metals such as chromium, copper, zinc, nickel and cadmium.
