As part of our service to our own label customers, we can collect empty drums from the vast majority of regular delivery points. It is important to note that our waste transfer licence only covers empty drums which have originated from B & V Chemicals manufacturing facility. Empty drums must contain less than 1% of the original chemical contents, do not need to be rinsed but must have the original label on the drum. Palletised drums can be collected within a shorter time scale than loose drums, so palletising empty drums for collection is preferable wherever possible. We also collect and re-use empty 200 Litre drums and IBC’s for reuse wherever possible.
As part of our BS EN 14001 commitment all drums which cannot be reused are sent for recycling in order to minimise the impact of plastic waste on the environment.
For Health and Safety reasons a number of end user sites have installed bulk tanks in order to avoid the potential hazards with chemical transfer. We offer a pump over service for the transfer of chemicals to dosing tanks located on customers’ sites. This pump over service is carried out by our own ADR trained, experienced personnel in unmarked vehicles. Our dedicated drivers are all trained to a high level of competency to safely handle our range of chemicals and overcome any challenges they may face on site in a safe and professional manner.
