Introducing a revolution in microbial control

Ultralox 40 is a stable active halogen solution produced by our own proprietary process. As well as rapidly killing all bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores, Ultralox 40 is highly effective in breaking down the biofilms which harbour these pathogens.

Specifically formulated for use in water hygiene, Ultralox 40 swiftly eliminates Legionella spp, Pseudomonas spp, and other microorganisms. Its proven track record spans diverse environments, including hospitals, nursing homes, large office buildings, food factories, and sports arenas. Ultralox 40® is a highly effective disinfection or secondary disinfection solution which can be used for shock dosing and/or continuous dosing.

Key benefits of Ultralox 40®

  • Approved under Regulation 31 of the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2016
  • Excellent microbial control and rapid biofilm removal at low concentrations.
  • No expensive generator needed; this chemical is just purely dosed in proportion to make up.
  • Very low health and safety risk i.e. no mixing of chemicals.
  • Better performance against biofilm than chlorine dioxide.
  • Better temperature stability than chlorine dioxide
  • Easy to use test kit available.
  • Good safety and environmental profile
  • Ready to use solution.
  • Cost effective.
  • Available in a range of pack sizes.
  • Ultralox 40 levels can be controlled by dosing either proportionally to incoming mains or via an electronic free chlorine sensor control.
  • Normal dose rate 0.25ppm - 0.5ppm (0.5ppm equates to 125ml per 1000 litres Ultralox 40) but approved up to 1ppm therefore there is the flexibility to adjust dose rates in response to high micro results.

How to apply the product

Ultralox 40® can be easily dosed and has proved to be extremely effective when used within large, complex water systems such as hospitals and colleges as well as in smaller systems, including office buildings. It is often used as an alternative to chlorine dioxide generators.

Dosing units (WRAS approved components) can be easily retrofitted. The dosing is easily controlled and monitored by proportional injection based on the incoming water flow in conjunction with the use of an active halogen analyser.

Ultralox 40 can be dosed directly into a Class A break tank. Alternatively, it can be dosed into the mains with backflow prevention, typically using a double non-return valve.

Approvals

  • Approval number 56/4/1530 under Regulation 31 of the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2016 For microbial control of public and private water supplies where the product is typically dosed to give a residual free halogen level of 0.25 – 0.5ppm Cl2 and restricted to an application rate of 1.00 ppm residual Cl2
  • For microbial control of public and private water supplies where the product is typically dosed to give a residual free halogen level of 0.5 ppm cl2 and restricted to an application rate of 1.00 ppm residual Cl2.
